About Me
Hi, I’m Liz! Yoga has been an important part of my mental and physical health for a long time, and I’ve been sharing the practice with others since 2019. I found yoga during an incredibly painful time in my life; I was suffering with anxiety and panic attacks that I didn’t understand, and the one “solution” that I’d found -alcohol- had become it’s own major problem. Sobriety felt impossible. Happiness felt impossible. I didn’t trust myself, and the inside of my brain and body felt like the scariest places to live.
But.
On the mat, I experienced little pockets of hope & light. Moments of safety that came from within- it was a totally novel experience! And it was just enough to make me believe joy and recovery were possible. It led me down a new path, helped me find a community that accepted all my parts, and made recovery not only possible but desirable.
Learning how to move and stretch and breathe in ways that were right for me and my body changed me from the inside out, and sharing it with you is my favorite thing. Put simply, yoga is how I started to feel better. I hope it helps you to feel better too.
